Marina Micari, Associate Director of the Searle Center for Advancing Learning and Teaching. 

Dr. Micari is the Director of the Searle Center's undergraduate programs. She holds a B.A. in Anthropology and French from Grinnell College, an M.A. in Communication and a Ph.D. in Education, both from the University of Minnesota.  She also teaches in the Learning and Organizational Change Program in Northwestern's School of Education and Social Policy.   She is the co-author of the book Making Scientists: Six Principles for Effective College Teaching (Harvard University Press).
